DESIGN NOTES

These set of pants were designed around the side pleats. I wanted to explore how different pleats at different angles affect the cutting of the pants, and the double pleats on both sides of the legs help to cinch the pants into the perfect shape despite having a primarily "baggy" cut.

I love wide legged pants, but also hated how the crotch area was always so low making it look too "relaxed" for my style. With these pants, I lowered the waist and made it mid-rise, which contrasted well with the wide legged opening but still having that more formal silhouette not commonly seen in these kind of cutting. Since there's pleats at the knee area, this unintentionally took in the circumference at the knees and gave it a boot-cut silhouette which I really loved after Kendrick Lamar's Superbowl performance.

The waist is also adjustable, because I wanted to cater to a wider group of people. Each size is able to be worn by those ~1-1.5 inches smaller, meaning a Size 32 [P]V1.0 would fit anyone between waist 30.5-32. I designed the belt loops to be larger than you would see on a typical pants, just because I like the look. This also means they are much sturdier and can support heavier belts without too much wear and tear.
