TWIGI's Evolution Approach

by Jeff Cheng

In today's fashion landscape, many clothing brands, from luxury houses like Chanel and Dior to emerging avant-garde labels in Asia, adhere to a seasonal approach. Yet, this method often feels like a relentless cycle of consumerism, perpetually introducing new trends and styles each season. Unfortunately, this cycle fosters unnecessary spending and contributes to environmental waste, with consumers pressured to constantly update their wardrobes to keep pace with fleeting trends.

At TWIGI, we challenge this norm by embracing a different philosophy. Rather than adhering to the traditional seasonal model, we believe in continuously evaluating and reinventing our existing products. This means that at any given time, only one type of each product category, such as a bag or outerwear, is available in our collection.

Our approach centers on the idea that the product you purchase should align with your current needs, rather than shaping your needs around the product. TWIGI's evolution approach revolves around the idea of best fit, in the sense that a subsequent product is not necessarily better, just adapted to the designer's choice and our consumers' feedback at that point in time.

While it may be tempting to jump on the trend bandwagon, we encourage thoughtful consideration before making a purchase. Embracing trends solely for the sake of conformity limits the development of personal style and perpetuates a culture of mindless consumerism.

At TWIGI, we firmly believe that intentional design lies at the core of sustainability. By challenging the conventional seasonal approach and encouraging mindful consumption, we aim to empower individuals to make choices that align with their values and contribute to a more sustainable future.
